Save data in home directory instead of current directory

What you need to know:

  • Home directory in Ubuntu is the directory containing a particular user’s data. It is automatically created as /home for each user in the directory.
  • Current directory is the directory in which it is currently working. On the iRender server, this directory is automatically created as /host.

Our system randomly distributes one computer across each remote session.  As a result, you will connect to different computers for different remote sessions. In other words, the server on the previous remote session you used can be different from that of the current remote session you use.

Tip
Saving data in the home directory is highly recommended.

If your data is in the current directory, it will not be saved and available in the next remote session. Meanwhile, the data in the host directory will be stored in every remote session you use.
